How Much Hair Colour Do I Need When Dyeing My Hair At Home?

Having enough hair colour is important to make sure you achieve full, even coverage.

  1. Always check you have enough hair colour before you start application otherwise you might not have enough to cover your whole head. 
  2. If you have thick or hair longer than chin length, have at least 2 boxes. 
  3. A good indication of the amount of colour you’ll need is by the looking at how much conditioner you use when you wash your hair. If you need to use a lot of conditioner to fully coat your hair then you’ll need to use 2/3 boxes of dye for the perfect finish.
