Dubbed ‘quarantints’ since people have been getting more experimental during lockdown, with no office dress codes to adhere to and people wanting to express themselves more than ever and embrace bold colours, it’s no surprise that Schwarzkopf LIVE has been flying off the shelves!

You don’t have to choose a full head of colour either. On the ends, sliced through hair to give flashes of colour or try the recent trend for face framing chunks. The possibilities are endless so go ahead and play around. Ultra Brights are semi-permanent, meaning you’ll never have to worry about over-committing to one look. It gives you the freedom to be creative!

For best results, Ultra Bright’s should be used on light blonde or bleached hair as the pigment will stick around for longer so if your hair isn’t naturally light, use LIVE Max Blonde first to pre-lighten it. You'll then have the perfect blank canvas to colour on. If you want your tone to be more of a pastel shade, it’s also crucial to pre-lighten first as it won’t show up on brown or black hair. Pastel shades can't compete with the naturally dark melanin in the hair.

And if you do want a pastel look like influencer and LIVE Content Creators Charlotte Hole (pictured), simply mix your Ultra Brights with your favourite conditioner and it will immediately soften the tone. It’s time to get experimenting...

Arich bold blue, this is one traffic-stopping tint. Or take it down to a pastel and create a turquoise shade that any mermaid would be envious of.

Purple Punk

Use the full box for a punchy aubergine shade or add conditioner to create a soft lilac tone that will enhance your blonde or brunette base colour.

Pillar Box red

Red is always on trend so keep it fiery or customise it with conditioner and transform your colour into a most-wanted peachy hue.

Raspberry Rebel

Hovering between red and pink, this is a warm raspberry shade that will breathe life into your style. Keep it deep or lighten it to a fruity rosé.

Shocking Pink

Pink is a great starting point if you’re new to brights as it won’t fail to flatter. Go for a pop of hot pink or tone it down with conditioner for a more subtle baby pink wash.
